1930's - Students at Northern Arizona State Teachers College form a Newman Club under the direction of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
1963 - Fr. Michael Bain, assistant pastor for Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, begins to meet students on a regular basis and to hold Masses in the Eastburn Education Center Auditorium.
1966 - Holy Trinity Newman Center constructed. Later, an apartment for the chaplain and a library are added.
1969 - The Diocese of Phoenix is established and the Newman Center moves from being part of the Diocese of Gallup to the Diocese of Phoenix.
1971 - Dominican Friars of the Central Province begin staffing the Newman Center and Fr. Peter Herely becomes full-time director.
1997 - The Newman Center becomes incorporated into the one parish of Flagstaff, San Francisco de Asis, and no longer has a full-time priest.
2009 - Fr. Matt Lowry becomes full-time director.
2010 - FOCUS missionaries join the Newman Center.
2013 - The Newman Center becomes separately incorporated as its own parish.
2020 - The Newman Center embarks on a capital campaign to build a new facility to include a new chapel and student spaces to evangelize many more students.
